After the Metallica pinball machine made its debut in 2012, it became one of the most popular music pinball machines! It's about time, but the wait is over... it's back... remastered, improved and with a new design. Stern Pinball Metallica Remastered.

The new Metallica Remastered is built on Stern's modern Spike 2 electronics. The full-colour LCD display features brand new animations and live concert video footage. The best thing for all Metallica fans - with now 22 songs, there are 8 more songs to listen to than before. And for all pinball enthusiasts there is an extended gameplay.

Since their formation in 1981, Metallica has become one of the most influential and popular bands in music history. Through their ground-breaking music, their electrifying live performances and their cultural influence that goes beyond music, Metallica has gained a huge worldwide following. For this reason alone, it was time to take the Metallica Pinball to a new level.

The design team, once again led by John Borg and software developer Raymond Davidson, has created a modern version of the original masterpiece.

The pitch architecture has been retained from the original model and new pieces have been added. New RGB illuminated skulls have been added to the Slingshots and a metallic logo has been added to the back of the playfield. Sparky and the hammer have also been redesigned. Unique UV light effects have been implemented on the entire playing field and also on Sparky.

The existing Lyman Shets rulebook has been retained and carefully supplemented with two new game modes based on the two latest Metallica albums. In addition, there is the "Blackend" Wizard Mode. The software also contains numerous improvements, such as control of the insert lighting.

Thanks to Spike 2 and the now integrated LCD screen, all video content and animations have been recreated. So there are lots of sound effects, over 1,000 pronunciations, with call outs from the band, eight new songs, video material and live concert recordings.

The Expression Lighting system for the cabinet and speakers comes as standard with the Limited Edition and is available as an accessory upgrade for Premium models.

Metallica Remastered includes Stern's ever-growing Insider Connected™ platform, which allows players to interact with the game and a global network of players in a variety of ways. Through the Insider Connected™ platform, Stern Pinball will provide automatic code updates that continue to enhance and improve the pinball software. Through Insider Connected, players can track their progress, earn new game-specific achievements and extend the fun with four "Crank it Up" modes and the "End of Line" wizard mode as a challenge mode.
