The Walking Dead Remastered - in collaboration with Stern Pinball and AMC Networks

Stern Pinball, Inc., the world's largest designer and manufacturer of pinball machines, has partnered with AMC Networks to introduce and release The Walking Dead Remastered - a technically enhanced version of one of the most popular pinball games of all time, based on one of the world's most recognisable brands: AMC's The Walking Dead. This brand has been thrilling fans around the world since its TV premiere in 2010. The successful TV series, spin-offs, video games, merchandise and much more have had a major impact on modern horror storytelling.

Now, with the new SPIKE 3 technology platform, Stern Pinball brings back The Walking Dead Remastered for a new generation of gamers - with an epic journey through legendary moments from the series as you fight to survive the apocalypse. This pinball machine is available in Premium and Limited Edition (LE) models, with a full line of accessories coming soon.

In Stern Pinball's The Walking Dead Remastered, players battle walkers and relive key scenes from the series in an immersive, physical pinball experience like no other. The development team, led by John Borg, the designer of the original game, has created a modern version of the original masterpiece. The playing field features improved versions of the "Cell Block C" prison, the Bicycle Girl ramp and an interactive Well Walker character. The popular crossbow, which shoots a pinball, has also been reworked and now offers more precision and flexibility. New RGB lighting and illuminated zombie heads on the Slingshots provide additional atmosphere.

Particular attention has been paid to the loving revision of all details - in honour of the original game by John Borg and Lyman F. Sheats Jr. The pinball machine contains an updated version of the revolutionary ruleset, which introduced a new structure for modes and a strong risk/reward system. Through iconic multiballs like Prison, Well Walker and Blood Bath, as well as the depth of each "Dead Feature" mode (Barn, CDC, Riot, Tunnel and Arena), players experience intense combat that can even make them "Last Man Standing" at the end - if you manage to survive the horde and escape Terminus.

In The Walking Dead Remastered, players can expect completely new visual elements that combine high-quality videos with a vivid, painted style - both on the cabinet and on the display. Care has been taken to ensure that the new graphics are reminiscent of the original while offering many improvements. Software updates bring new game rules and new audio announcements, voiced by actors Michael Rooker (Merle) and Danai Gurira (Michonne).

Of course with Stern's Insider Connected (IC) system with modern online features for a connected gaming experience.

The game utilises Stern's SPIKE 3 technology, which enables a larger 18.5" full HD display, a faster processor and a new high-quality audio system. Players enjoy completely recreated 3D graphics and animations that also pay homage to the dot-matrix look of the original machine. SPIKE 3 also offers more efficient power processing, improved WLAN and wireless headphone support.

The Limited Edition, limited to 500 pieces worldwide, includes the new Expression Lighting System™, a Speaker Expression Lighting System with The Walking Dead effects, a full-colour mirror backglass, premium cabinet decals, exclusive pinball armor, a designer-signed bottom arch, an upgraded audio system, anti-reflective glass, a shaker motor, a numbered plaque, a signed certificate of authenticity and a digital Insider Connected LE badge.
